Kayakers Guide to the Great Marsh
Eight Towns and the Bay is working with Urban and Environmental Planning Department at Tufts University to gather and evaluate the information available on the biology, ecology, and management of phragmites. The goal is to develop an action plan for control of the newly colonized stands in the area of the Upper Great Marsh (Newbury) that lies on the south side of the Plum Island Turnpike. This action plan will provide the basis upon which a full management plan can be built and should be completed by May 2005.
