Stormwater Problem Site Prioritization
Eight Towns and the Bay is currently working with the nine member communities to 1) assess and document current stormwater management practices, either de facto or official, to determine opportunities for improvement, and 2) to visually quantify, map, and evaluate stormwater problem site based on impaired resource areas. These field investigations are being performed with the local DPW/Highway Department superintendents and/or conservation commission agents to characterize and prioritize the top ten stormwater problem sites in each community. Once completed, the priority sites themselves will be prioritized for the nine-community region and recommendations will be made for future mitigation funding.
